Calculate transport costs
Enter your own amounts to combine monthly bills and yearly expenses into one transport budget.
What does transport really cost you?
Add together every form of transport you use, including a car and a public transport pass. Yearly amounts are divided by twelve.
Depreciation is the loss in your car’s value. Enter your own estimated yearly loss. If a lease payment already includes maintenance, insurance or tax, do not add those costs again. The result is based on your entries; costs you leave out are not included.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to fill in everything?
No. Enter only the costs that apply to you. You can also calculate public transport or bicycle costs on their own.
How are yearly costs calculated?
Maintenance, depreciation and bicycle costs are divided by twelve so every item is shown on a monthly basis.
How do I avoid counting costs twice?
Count each cost once. If maintenance, insurance or tax is included in a lease payment, do not enter those separately. Enter the monthly lease payment under insurance and add fuel or charging separately.
